I have started using avast! Antivirus free and its gotten the best current review for free ones. . Ad-Aware is also a good one. AVG as well.

my anti virus software picked up something called MadCodeHook on my computer, it says its adware and a type of hacking tool. it wont give me an option to delete it though, only to authorise it even though i’m the administrator on the computer. has anyone heard of this before?? any suggestions of how to get rid of it?? i’ve tried to get rid of it manually but I cant find it in the system, I can only find the application extension.
